Flourless Brownies

Flourless Brownies

1 Cup packed pitted Medjool dates

1/2 Cup Almond butter

1 Tsp Vanilla extract

1/4 Cup Cacao powder

1/4 Tsp Salt

1 Tbsp ground Flax seeds

1 Cup Almond flour

Walnuts, cacao nibs or chocolate chips as a topping.

To a food processor add the dates, almond butter and vanilla. Process until it becomes like a dough. Add the cacao powder, salt, ground flax and process until well combined. Add the almond flour and pulse a few times until it’s well incorporated (it’s a sticky dough!). Place the dough in a baking pan and flatten to your desired thickness. Sprinkle your chosen topping. Bake @325* F. for 30 minutes (or until slightly browned; it will depend on your oven). Let it cool a bit and serve. You could drizzle a little chocolate sauce and some more nuts. Enjoy!

*Chocolate sauce option 1: 2 Tbsp coconut oil; 2 Tbsp maple or date syrup; 1 Tbsp cacao powder. Mix all ingredients until well combined. Refrigerate two minutes for a creamier consistency.

Chocolate option 2: 2 Tbsp runny almond butter; 1 Tbsp plant milk; 1 Tbsp maple or date syrup; 1 Tbsp cacao powder. Mix all ingredients until well combined
